Fast Lane Express Lube

The locally owned and operated shop celebrates its 20th anniversary 

“I broke ground 20 years ago,” begins David Cianfaglione, owner of Fast Lane Express Lube, on Traders Way in Thompson’s Station. “I was living in Spring Hill and saw the need for a lube and maintenance shop in the Thompson’s Station area, and my wife and I decided to address that need and build something,” he continues, having previously worked for Saturn in Spring Hill.

Cianfaglione was right about there being a need. The shop opened for business on October 6, 2006, and has been going strong ever since. In fact, Fast Lane Express Lube is as busy as ever, having recently added two new mechanics to the now 14-member team.

“It’s an honest place for people to go, with very well-trained technicians who are well trained to take care of customers,” adds Cianfaglione, before highlighting the services offered.

“The business is at least 75 percent oil changes and the other 25 percent comes out of the repair shop,” says Cianfaglione. “That includes tire rotations, brake repairs, tune-ups and A/C recharges,” he adds, not to mention all the work his team does to fix starters, belts & hoses, window motors and much more. 

Cianfaglione credits much of the success of the business to what he describes as an “impeccable” work ethic—his own and that of his team. 

“I’m the owner, and I’ve been here since day one, and I believe to be successful you have to be here. You have to work as a team member. (Personally), I just have to keep working and working. I don’t know anything different,” he says. “And I train my employees to become leaders, to give them that edge. They are not just employees; they are a team member at a business that is a big part of the community.”

As for the immediate future, Cianfaglione says, “I’m happy with what I have. I stay focused on taking care of all the customers we have, and want to keep what I have going,” he adds, before noting that he expects one of his three daughters to take over the business when he retires. 

“I’m hoping that my oldest daughter will take it over and keep it in the family so the customers are still taken care of,” he says, before noting that many of his customers have become friends, making his work even more rewarding. 

Asked if he has any parting thoughts for all the people who have patronized Fast Lane Lube Express, Cianfaglione keeps it simple and to the point. 

“I’d just like to say thank you to all the customers of the past 20 years for trusting us and supporting us,” he concludes.
